Soft and sultry with a cool edge, Marquita Pring had always dreamt of a career in fashion. Content with playing sports and enjoying her childhood in upstate New York, the rising star launched her career in modeling at the age of fifteen.

Marquita didn’t step onto the fashion scene so much as she burst through its front doors. Her first major coup was a coveted spot in V Magazine’s “Curves Ahead” editorial, photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, which showcased the entirety of her head-to-toe, curvaceous beauty. She was then featured in a Vogue Italia spread with famed photographer Steven Meisel, a feature that cemented her place in the industry.
Marquita leapt from the page and broke fashion convention, walking the runway for Jean-Paul Gaultier in Paris, France. This opportunity led to her being cast as the face of Levi Strauss & Co. for two consecutive seasons, something almost unheard of for non-straight size models.

Since then, Marquita has worked with brands including Vogue.com, Polo, Talbots, H&M, Lucky Jeans, Kohl’s, Mark & Spencer, Lane Bryant, Dressbarn, Persona, Bloomingdales, Evans and more. A seasoned athlete who enjoys swimming, Pilates, roller blading, spinning, and basketball, Marquita also has an interest in the performing arts, honing her skills as an actor and singer. She also believes that young women deserve to live happy, healthy lives, regardless of their body size and works to spread this inspiring message through her work and community outreach initiatives.
